Current mood: grateful

Hey guys! It is with my great pleasure to present to you one of my new songs from my new album, “Hold On Me”. I had an amazing time in the studio with Tower of Power who did the horn section on my song. Doc Kupka, Mic Gillette and Tom.

Mic had the best stories to tell like the time he flew home on President Ronald Regan’s private jet after escaping a crazy concert several 100,000 people. And Doc gave me awesome music advice. I felt so honored to be in the presence of greatness. These guys are the true legends who coined the horn sound of the 70’s.

I also had the blessing of Reggie Hamilton (Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand) on bass and Jesse Jackson on guitar. Phenomenal musicians!

Making this song has been a truly wonderful experience and I am so happy to share it with you.

So, I went to the Dolce and Gabbana party last night in Hollywood and boy I’ll tell ya. . . .A party is a just party, anywhere in the world. It was fun in theory. Off the hook music. Beautiful people. Beautiful free stuff. Beautiful club. I also left at midnight.

The best time to leave a party is at it’s height.

Everyone was having a blast, champagne poppin everywhere. But all I could think about is my music. I dream it, eat it, sleep it. I need a vacation. Something about going on vacation works for me. It’s like I can finally escape my thoughts and really just be in the moment. Although, my idea of a relaxing vacation usually includes a bikini, on a beach, and LOTS of fruity drinks!

What is love? This intricate feeling of push and pull, joy and pain… Purity expounded. It’s supposed to be simple right? Love is more than an emotion. It’s an action. When you would die for the well being of that person, so they might live one more day, in peace. That’s love. Love goes beyond that which you hear, see or feel. Love is when you step into another dimension of space and time and when that person is hurting, even on the other side of the world, you feel it in your soul. Love is telling someone what they don’t want to hear and risking everything, for their moment of healing, that lasts a lifetime. Love is when you want to laugh and cry at the same time. Nothing hurts more than love. Though circumstances change, and your lover may make choices that limit you, love never fails. This year choose love.
